Congratulations Band of Warriors Class of 2012!!!!!
Solo & Ensemble Results:
70 Band of Warrior students performed solos at Solo & Ensemble this year. Students earning a superior rating were: Lucy Alvarez, Joseph Bednarczyk, Brandon Black, Paul Cobler, Nicole Cobler, Colten Davidson, Annabelle Delatorre, Sarah Espindola, Cassie Hernandez, Mark Hernandez, Courtney Hobbs, Sarah Jackson, Heather Keller, Hunter Lemke, Hannah Mallary, Sarai Mesa, Melody Murphy, Zoe Ng, Xizavier Olguin, JB Schmidt, Emily Sestak, Toni Smarr, Jake Smitherman, Symonne Spriggs and Amie Stange!
Students earning a Superior Rating AND advancing to the State Solo & Ensemble Contest in Austin are: Heather Donovan, Brittany Flatt, Kayla Garrett, Harrison Garrett, Charlsa Matson, Brooke Monney, Shelby Schaefer, Sydney Seekamp and Clayton Turner.
Students who earned a Superior rating for their Ensemble and will advance to State are Nicole Cobler, Heather Keller and Sarai Mesa.

Region Tryout Results:
The Band of Warriors was well represented at Region Band Tryouts. Twenty members of the BOW competed int eh TMEA Region Ausitions. Our region extends from Port Lavaca to Laredo down to Zapata back through Corpus to Victoria! Ten students were selected to participate in the Region Band Clinic and Concert in Flour Bluff on December 9-10.

District Tryout Results:
Congratulations go out to the members of the Victoria West High School Band. 60 members participated on Saturday, November 19 in Port Lavaca in the TMEA District Tryout. This is the first step in the Texas All State Band process. 36 Students were awarded district patches for making the district band. 22 students will be advancing to the Region Level of competition on Saturday, December 3 in Alice.
